“The new data centers and their operations carry all the required certifications, which assures our customers that their data is securely stored only within Canadian boundaries,” said Chandrashekar LSP, Managing Director of Zoho Canada.

“Given the significance of privacy regulations and performance requirements, many Canadian organizations are placing an increased emphasis on data sovereignty, data residency and enhanced security,” added Chandrashekar.

“This emphasis is especially applicable for large enterprises, including those in government, banking and financial service sectors.”

A Localized Solution for Canada's Growing Market

The addition of these data centers aligns with Zoho's ongoing growth in Canada, boasting a five-year Compound Annual Growth Rate of 36% for mid-sized enterprises and a 24% increase in the overall Canadian customer base. Notably, Zoho Workplace customers have seen a remarkable 32% growth over the same period.

Globally, Zoho recently reached a milestone of 100 million users, thanks in part to the continued support of its Canadian customers and its dedicated partner network.

These two Canadian data centers mark Zoho's 13th and 14th data centers globally and reaffirm the company's commitment to user privacy, data security, and its dedication to serving customers at a local level.

Megha Kumar, Research Vice President, Software & Cloud Services at IDC, emphasized that Canadian organizations are increasingly embracing SaaS (software as a service) workloads to modernize their processes and introduce new functionalities. Simultaneously, organizations are under pressure to maintain secure environments while adhering to data residency requirements and privacy regulations. Canadian organizations are looking for cloud vendors with in-country data center investments and robust tools and processes to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.

Zoho is known for its strong commitment to user privacy and its ad-revenue-free business model. More than 100 million users worldwide rely on Zoho for their business operations. To learn more about Zoho's privacy commitment, visit their website at https://www.zoho.com/privacy-commitment.html.
